Cinematic portraits
One light, one subject, and everyone taking a turn behind the camera.
A small group of filmmakers, photographers, actors, models and interesting people around D.C. getting together to shoot, experiment, collaborate and see what we can make.

There are filmmakers, photographers, actors, models and interesting people all over the D.C. area who could probably make some great things together — if they actually met. So let's get a few of them together.
We might shoot portraits, scenes, interviews or a short film. We might test new gear, explore a location, or make something none of us planned beforehand. It's intentionally informal and experimental.

Two minutes. This is roughly the energy — people out with cameras, figuring it out as they go.
Some of us will show up with cameras. Some of us will be in front of them. Both are the point.
A rough list of things a meetup could turn into. We'll follow whatever the group is actually excited about.
01
One light, one subject, and everyone taking a turn behind the camera.
02
Two actors, a page of dialogue, and whoever wants to shoot it.
03
Walk a neighborhood together and see what the block gives us.
04
Ten minutes with someone who has a genuinely good story.
05
Bring the lens you never use. Let's find out what it does.
06
Reels and scene work that actually look like something.
07
Same prompt, same hour, everyone shoots it differently.
08
That spot you keep driving past and thinking about.
None of this is fixed. If five people show up and want to do something completely different, that's a better day than sticking to a plan.
Sign UpIt's a small experiment in getting interesting local people into the same place with cameras and seeing what we can create. That's the whole thing.
The first meetup is being put together now. It'll be somewhere in D.C., Northern Virginia or Maryland — the location and date depend a lot on who's in. Right now the only thing being figured out is the people.

We're putting together the first group now. Tell me who you are and what you'd be interested in making — that's it. No portfolio review, no résumé, no pitch. If it looks like a fit, I'll reach out directly.

Eleven quick questions. Nothing here is a commitment.
I read every one of these. If it looks like a fit for the first group, I'll email you directly with the details.
Your answers only go to me. No list, no newsletter, no sharing.
